13 sqm, objeto vernacular com aplicação multimédia adapta uma cabana criada pelos operários do estaleiro de Gdansk, como local privado de balneário, refeição e conspiração. A instalação recupera a cabana da sucata, convidando a escutar testemunhos sobre o espaço atual.

Blow up #2 mostra-nos o espaço abandonado do edifício de amostras de materiais, percorrido por corpos nús que sala após sala, se cruzam com desenhos, mobiliário, pó e detritos do edifício que, entretanto, foi já demolido por bulldozers.

13 sqm, vernacular object with multimedia application is the adaptation of a shed created by the workers of the Gdansk shipyard as a private space to change, eat and plot. This installation saves the shed from the scrap yard, inviting visitors to listen to testimonies about the current space.

Blow up #2 shows us the abandoned space of the samples building invaded by naked bodies that move from room to room, encountering drawings, furniture, dust and debris from the building which, in the meantime, has been destroyed by bulldozers.

Grzegorz Klaman, artista e fundador do Instituto Wyspa, em Gdańsk, Grzegorz Klaman tem explorado a tensão entre corpo, espaço/local e política desde o início da sua prática artística em meados da década de oitenta. Foi pioneiro nas atividades relacionadas com o contexto no seu país, na arte em espaços públicos e no ativismo mediante o estabelecimento de estruturas independentes para a produção e apresentação da arte contemporânea. Ao transportar a arte e o ativismo para o domínio da vida cultural, social e política como um todo, o artista trabalha tanto com o conhecimento e gestos artísticos produzidos localmente como com as práticas de auto governação. O seu conceito de Arqueologia Invertida (1987) lançou os alicerces para o atual interesse do Wyspa na promoção do discurso político e cultural. Grzegorz Klaman é professor na Academia das Belas-Artes. Recebeu a Bolsa Fullbright na Florida Atlantic University (2007). As suas obras foram apresentadas em Messiahs (Modem-Debrecen, Hungria) e nas exposições coletivas History of Violence (Haifa Art Museum) e Chosen (Digital Art Lab Holon). As exposições coletivas mais antigas incluem: In-Between (Chicago, 2001), Łódź Biennale (Łódź, 2004), Dockwatchers (Gdańsk, 2005), Over and over again (Wrocław, 2009), Political Things (Gdańsk, 2010), Crushing in (Estocolmo, 2010).
Grzegorz Klaman, artist and founder of Wyspa in Gdańsk has, since the beginning of his artistic practice in the mid-80s, employed the tension between the body, space/site and the political. He pioneered context-related activities in the country, art in public space as well as activism through establishing independent structures for the production and presentation of contemporary art. Taking both art and activism into the field of cultural, social and political life as one, he works between locally produced knowledge and artistic gestures as well as practices of self-governance. His concept on Reversed Archeology (1987) set the foundations for Wyspa’s current interest in stimulating cultural and political discourse. Klaman is a professor in the Academy of Fine Arts. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Florida Atlantic University (2007). His works were presented in Messiahs ( Modem-Debrecen, Hungary) and the group-show History of Violence (Haifa Art Museum) and Chosen (Digital Art Lab Holon).
