Core mostra-nos processos de organização e transformação de matéria prima em objetos técnicos, numa fábrica re-organizada por gestão visual. As cores e as coreografias das máquinas e dos trabalhadores, além de diferenciar núcleos de produção, geram uma nova visualidade que o vídeo explora.

MATERIALITIES
Core shows the processes by which raw materials are organised and transformed into technical objects in a factory reorganized along visual lines. The colours and choreographies of the machines and workers are used to differentiate production nuclei and to create a new visuality explored in the video.

Rui Manuel Vieira (1984), vive e trabalha no Porto. Mestrado em Arte e Design para o Espaço Público pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. Licenciatura em Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Faculdade do Porto. O seu trabalho, tem vindo a desenvolver-se a partir do tempo enquanto memória. Presente em exposições individuais e colectivas desde 2007. Em 2007 participou numa colectiva intitulada Aqui Perto. Em 2008 participou nas colectivas Resgate e Mesa de Trabalho na Galeria Petit Cabanon. Em 2009 obteve um prémio na bienal de arte de Vila Verde com o vídeo Pedais; Apresentou-se individualmente com Já Sentido, na Galeria Quarto Escuro. Em 2010 participou numa colectiva no Palacete Pinto Leite; ### individual na galeria Tabacaria do Vídeo; participou no Projecto I.M.A.N. Em 2012 Os Bosques São Já Negros e o Céu ainda Azul foi apresentado na exposição Collecting Colections and Concepts, GUIMARÃES 2012 CEC.
Rui Manuel Vieira (1984) lives and works in Oporto. He holds a Master’s degree in Art and Design for Public Spaces from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and a Bachelor’s degree in Sculpture from the same institution. The work that he has been developing is based on the idea of time as memory and has been shown in individual and collective exhibitions since 2007. In 2007, he participated in a collective exhibition entitled Aqui Perto (So close). In 2008, the artist participated in the collective exhibitions Resgate (Rescue) and Mesa de Trabalho (Working Table) at the Petit Cabanon Gallery. In 2009, he received an award at the Vila Verde Art Biennale for the video Pedais (Pedals) and presented his work individually at Quarto Escuro Gallery with Já Sentido (Already Felt). In 2010 he participated in a collective exhibition at the Pinto Leite Mansion, staged the individual exhibition ### at Tabacaria do Vídeo Gallery, and participated in the I.M.A.N. project. In 2012, Os Bosques São Já Negros e o Céu ainda Azul (The Woods are Already Dark and the Sky Still Blue) was presented at the Collecting Collections and Concepts Exhibition in the context of Guimarães 2012 ECC.
