OBJECTULIDADES
Modelos duplos: fábricas de materiais de construção para a construção de fábricas mostra modelos históricos do século XIX usados no ensino industrial. A recolha foca-se em chaminés, altos fornos de aço e de ferro, fábricas de cerâmica, fornos de tijolos, e outros. OBJECTUALITY
Double models: Factories which construct materials for the construction of factories shows historical models from the nineteenth century used in industrial training. The collection focuses on chimneys, steel and iron blast furnaces, pottery factories, brick furnaces, among others. Museu do Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), criado em 1999 com o intuito de reunir em benefício da comunidade, bens culturais, materiais e imateriais, representativos da evolução do ensino industrial, destacando o seu contributo para o desenvolvimento nacional. 1998 – Primeira exposição temporária do Museu do ISEP intitulada “Memórias da Physica”; 2000 – Exposição temporária as “Memórias do Saber”; 2003 – Criação dos Serviços Educativos do museu; 2006 – Ampliação do espaço e reorganização da exposição de longa duração; 2008 – Abertura de uma nova sala de exposições, abertura de um novo acesso ao museu; 2009 – Candidatura à Rede Portuguesa de Museus, restruturação da exposição permanente; 2010 – Participação na TecnoIsep; 2011 – Participação na exposição temporária “Extração Mineira: memórias do ensino da arte de minas”, Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, outubro de 2011.
The Museum of the School of Engineering – Polytechnic of Porto (ISEP) was created in 1999 with the goal of collecting, for the benefit of the community, cultural, material, and immaterial assets that represent the development of industrial education, highlighting its contribution to national development. 1998 – First temporary exhibition of the ISEP museum entitled “Memórias da Physica” (Physics Memories); 2000 – Temporary exhibition “Memórias do Saber” (Memories of Knowledge); 2003 – Creation of the museum’s Educational Services; 2006 – Enlargement of the space and reorganization of the extended exhibition; 2008 – Opening of a new exhibition room, opening of a new entrance to the museum; 2009 – Application to the Portuguese Museum Network, restructuring of the permanent exhibition; 2010 – Participation in TecnoIsep; 2011 – Participation in the temporary exhibition “Extração Mineira: memórias do ensino da arte de minas” (Mining: memories of teaching the art of mining), Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, October 2011.
