Inês Moreira is an architect, researcher and curator based in Oporto, Portugal. Her research/practice involves various processes of collaboration between architecture, art, exhibition display and oblique research into contemporary culture. Most recently, she has been undertaking a curatorial research project into space entitled Performing Building Sites: Curatorial Research in/on Space, which is her PhD thesis with the Curatorial/Knowledge research group, a think-tank PhD programme at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Her research proposes a critical epistemology for the field of curatorial studies and embraces her professional experience as an author/designer of spatial installations for art exhibitions. At the moment she is completing her PhD, for which she received financial support from the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (PhD Dissertation Scholarships). She was the coordinator of the Laboratory of Experimental Art at Instituto das Artes do Ministério da Cultura (2003-2005). She holds a Master’s degree in the Theory of Architecture and Urban Culture [UPC Barcelona, 2003] and is Graduated in Architecture [FAUP Porto, 2001].
